Recording artist Gya shares his journey with Concealed Media


In our latest interview Concealed Media sat down with Georgia native Gya. During the interview we got Gya to open up about his inspiration to make music, some of the challenges he’s faced, upcoming projects, future plans and his brand, worse generation music and much more.

A native of Stone Mountain, GA, Gya said he grew up in a household that played variety of music but he didn’t hear rap or hip-hop until he was about 9-years-old. But by listening to music that his mother listened to his love for music started to grow.

“All I knew was Kirk Franklin and Parliament, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and James Brown,” he continued. “…Honestly James Brown is the one that kind of set it in stone for me, like this is what I want to do.”

When discussing his latest project Healing in Harmony, Gya said the comes from a place “of needing to pull it together”. With the Healing in Harmony and the Healing in Harmony event, scheduled for September 28, his goal is to bring people together.

“My entire objective in life is to bring people together,” Gya said. “My mission, my goal, my purpose, my value is bringing people together and genuinely uplifting and showing there is a different side of life.”
